Mit dem ersten Rennwochenende der Formula Winter Series im portugiesischen Portimão ist Mathilda Paatz erfolgreich in die Motorsport-Saison 2025 gestartet. Mathilda Paatz ends successful debut season in Formula 4

For Mathilda Paatz, the season finale of the French Formula 4 Championship in Le Castellet marks the end of a successful debut year in formula racing. Although the ADAC Formula 4 Junior Team driver was unable to take home anything worthwhile at the end of the season, the 16-year-old young talent can look back on an instructive and therefore positive debut season. Especially in the second half of the season, the young driver from Cologne was able to improve significantly, set some highlights and achieve promising results. Strong performance by Paatz at Champions of the Future in Portimao

Mathilda Paatz showed last weekend that she is also one of the fastest women in the world in karting: The young driver from Cologne, who made the switch to formula racing this season and recently impressed with a steep learning curve in Formula 4 France, took part in the Champions of the Future Euro Series in preparation for the World Shifter Kart Championship in Portimao (10th to 13th October). Paatz celebrates her first top 10 result in Formula 4 in Dijon

The knot has burst! Mathilda Paatz achieved her first top 10 result at the sixth round of the French Formula 4 Championship in Dijon. Although the 16-year-old from Cologne was only able to start the second race on Saturday from 20th position after an unfortunate qualifying session and an additional penalty, she fought her way up to tenth place in the course of the 20-minute race with a flawless performance. The ADAC Formula 4 Junior Team driver also made up a total of nine positions in the third race, impressively proving that she can definitely compete for the top positions in Formula 4.

Paatz narrowly misses out on first top 10 result at Magny-Cours

The fifth race weekend of the French Formula 4 Championship in Magny-Cours could have been very successful for Mathilda Paatz. In a strong qualifying session, the 16-year-old proved that the trust placed in her was fully justified: the Cologne-based driver qualified ninth in the top 10 for the first time, less than a tenth of a second behind seventh place. Paatz achieves best result of the season in home race at the Nürburgring

Mathilda Paatz had her best race to date at the Nürburgring, the only home race on the French Formula 4 calendar this year: In the third race on Sunday, the ADAC Formula 4 Junior Team driver impressed with a mixture of fast lap times, a flawless performance and courageous overtaking manoeuvres, which ultimately earned her 16th place in the fiercely competitive field of young talents. The race weekend on the traditional circuit in the Eifel was also characterised by special circumstances: payroll GmbH, the main sponsor of the young driver from Cologne, invited numerous sponsors and supporters to the Eifel. Paatz puts in a good performance in difficult weather conditions at Spa

Technical problems, changeable weather and difficult conditions: The Ardennes rollercoaster at Spa-Francorchamps once again lived up to its name at the third round of the French Formula 4 Championship. Mathilda Paatz experienced a rollercoaster of emotions on the second race weekend of the French Formula 4 Championship in Ledenon: although the 15-year-old put in a solid performance in all sessions, technical problems with her Formula 4 car slowed her down several times. In addition, the hill-and-valley circuit in the south of France is particularly demanding and energy-sapping, which pushed Paatz to her physical limits. Paatz competes for the ADAC Formula 4 Junior Team in France in 2024

Mathilda Paatz will be chasing success in Formula 4 France for the ADAC Formula 4 Junior Team in the 2024 season. The Cologne native is the first female driver to compete in the junior team. The 15-year-old will contest her first season in a Formula 4 racer next year. A central entry by the FFSA provides equal opportunities for all participants in the French racing series. In total, the rookies of the ADAC Formula 4 Junior Team will complete 21 championship rounds at seven events on attractive and varied race tracks.
